Messaging Customers

You have several options for sending messages – Campaigns and Automations (plus 1:1 responses). You can send any message with SMS (plain text, 160 character limit) or MMS (1600 character limit, allows emojis, gifs, and images).

Campaigns are for announcing one-time events like deals of the day, new product launches, discounts/sales, etc. Each Campaign is sent to a Segment (a subset of your customers).

Automations are for creating sequences of automated messages, for example:

  • Cart abandonment follow-up
  • Customer winback messages
  • New customer welcome messages
  • Shipment notifications

Please Note: You can only send messages to customers who have opted in to marketing and provided their phone numbers
